SMALL BUSINESS ASSISTANCE PROGRAM
The Twin Cities Community Development Corporation was founded 26 years ago in Fitchburg and has provided technical assistance support to over 600 businesses. These businesses are mostly service oriented and range from small grocery markets to high tech, computer consulting firms. Our program focuses mainly on micro-enterprises (businesses with 5 or fewer employees) and is supported by the City of Fitchburg, MA Department of Business and Technology, corporate grants and private donations.
Our Small Business Assistance Program offers:
Bookkeeping /Accounting Service:
This service aims at helping small businesses learn or improve skills in basic accounting/bookkeeping and other financial management skills that come with using QuickBooks. The purpose of program is to build capacity of small businesses to improve record keeping, accounting, and financial discipline which is critical for growth.

SB2 Workshops in Collaboration with the North Central Chamber of Commerce:
These workshops are tailored to meet specific needs of small business owners, a "pool" of experts and consultants share their experiences and skills along with timely business information. Opportunities do exist after the seminars for networking and referrals. Topics range from "how to raise startup capital" to "effective marketing".
One-on-One Technical Assistance:
Business counseling is available for help on how to start a business, write a business plan, improve marketing strategies and connecting with potential local funding sources like banks and other financial institutions.

Financial Literacy Classes:
In collaboration with ACCION USA, this initiative seeks to address the issue of bad credit, empowering participants with skills in money management, and building credit. By doing so, we shall create more credit worthy clients who are able to attract financing to acquire assets like homes or even start small businesses and eventually create jobs in our community.

Coinshow.com provides comprehensive, trustworthy and conveniently organized on-line information and resources for novice-to-expert coin collectors. The website explores numismatics by region and also connects to a wide variety of information about coin collecting nationally and around the world.
The Art Works Shop
The art works shop creates custom graphics, interior designs and murals for schools, businesses and private homes.
